Biography:

Alexandra E. Nowlin focuses her practice on all aspects of family law including: divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, spousal support, post-judgment modifications (support, custody, parenting time), restraining orders, contempt and other enforcement measures, third-party grandparents and step-parents rights, domestic partnership dissolution, pre-marital agreements, and post-nuptial agreements.

Ms. Nowlin is committed to obtaining the best results for her clients in as efficient a manner as possible. She emphasizes and regularly uses alternative dispute resolution measures such as mediation and settlement negotiations to resolve cases. She also uses traditional litigation when warranted and likely to provide the best outcome for her clients. It is a priority for Ms. Nowlin to be approachable and accessible to her clients, and to provide straight-forward, practical advice to meet each client's unique circumstances.

Ms. Nowlin is admitted to practice in all Oregon and regularly practices in Multnomah County, Washington County, Clackamas County, Columbia County, Yamhill County, and Marion County. She is a member of the Multnomah County, Washington County and Clackamas County Bar Associations; the Oregon Academy of Family Law Practitioners and the Oregon State Bar – Family Law Section. She received her B.A. in major international political economy from Colorado College in 2001 and earned her J.D. in 2005 from the University of Oregon School of Law. Ms. Nowlin currently serves on the Board of Directors of the YWCA of Greater Portland.
